Q. How can I access my Mobile Assistant account?
A. You can access your Account Online with the Username and Password you created at sign up:
Use the Mobile Assistant Online Manager to:
- Change report delivery method: Body/Attachment/Both
- Add or Edit Email List
- Add or Edit registered Phone Number List
Q. How do I know my information is kept secure by Mobile Assistant?
A. Mobile Assistant takes security and confidentiality seriously; we are HIPAA and Gramm-Leach-Bliley compliant, and carry Cyber-Risk Insurance. Our Written Information Security Program (WISP) is available here: Security Documentation (PDF)
Q. How does my transcription get delivered to me?
A. You can choose to receive your Mobile Assistant reports in the body of the email, as a Word attachment, or both. This can be changed by logging into the Online Manager.
Q. How much time do I have to dictate?
A. Mobile Assistant offers unlimited dictation length and unlimited number of dictations per user.
Q. What number do I call to dictate?
A. Once you've registered and received your confirmation email call 1-866-745-3381 and begin dictating.
Q. How soon will have I have my transcribed dictation?
A. We provide the transcribed notes within 12 business hours.
Q. Is there a charge for non-cell phone usage?
A. No. Any telephone can be used to dial our Toll Free Mobile Assistant Number.
Q. What forms of payment are accepted?
A. Mobile Assistant accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit cards.
Q. Can anyone else use my plan?
A. Only one person per subscription is allowed. Only one dictator is allowed at once (for multi-person meeting transcription call 888-373-1916 for a per line quote.)
Q. Am I limited to certain times when I can dictate?
A. Mobile Assistant is available 24/7.
Q. How long is the voice available for me to hear?
A. Your voice dictations are available for 30 days.
Q. When I try to utilize your service, I have to enter a facility ID
and user ID. What can I do?
A. For Mobile Assistant to recognize your telephone number, you must call from a number you have registered. If you are calling from an unregistered telephone number, you will be prompted to enter your facility ID which is 201, and then your user ID which was emailed to you after sign up. To register a new phone number, log into the Online Manager.
Q. What types of dictation is Mobile Assistant designed for?
A. Mobile Assistant is intended for notes, memoranda and to record common business data. The Service is not intended as a legal or medical transcription service. The dictation of short notes and memoranda is an appropriate use of Mobile Assistant. Dictating numerous multiple-page or highly complex documents is not. If we find that a subscriber is dictating a large number of documents that exceeds these boundaries, as interpreted by Mobile Assistant, we reserve the right to offer the change to a line rate dictation plan or to terminate such a subscriber’s account.
